Adopt-a-Class was awarded generous grants for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years. These grants support the Mathematics, Science and STEM Support Program.
Adopt-a-Class has received generous grant support for our Loudon County school support since 2021. In 2023 and 2024, the GNS fully funded the Literacy Program at Loudon and Steekee Elementary Schools. This program provides educational magazines to all students in second through fifth grade.
Over 100 members of the East TN Foothills chapter of 100 Women Who Care voted to support the new Adopt-a-Class Family Engagement literacy program. Each member contributed $100 for this initiative at Loudon, Steekee and Vonore Elementary Schools. Beginning in November 2022 and with additional support from a partner foundation, the program will be funded through 2025.

Adopt-a-Class has received two grant awards from the Tellico Community Foundation. In early 2022, a grant award provided a jumpstart to the Literacy Program. In August, 2023 a second award provided supplemental funding for the new Mathematics and STEM Support Program.
